Good catch! My spelling gave me 5 syllables for the last line! As such your correct spelling forced me to edit the last two lines. I hope other reviewers will like this dark-humored contest poem.

I love how you've shared that mischievous energy in such a short poem! The image of the pumpkin sneering with "malevolent thoughts" is powerful. It's like the pumpkin itself has a personality and is plotting! This poem is fun but there is also a hint of darkness - great job!
