Wow. So glad to have read this! This is freeform poetry on steroids. I think it's beautiful, well laid out, evocative and well penned. Good luck in the contest with this gem!

I think the the world is coming to an end because of man's inability to be selfless, Ive never known it to be as bad as now. People using the roadsides to dump rubbish, home disputes, everything has slid from one simple commandment, Love thy neighbour, which is disregarded, it includes everything that spoken of, good luck, blessings Roy

Thank you very much--these times are worrying to be sure, and mankind never seems to learn from the lessons of the past--just tries to erase it so we don't look bad.

Thak you so much!
Comment from Bill Schott
This poem, Once and Future, finds the history of the planet from its inception, then through the many movements across the face, bringing the beginning and end of lives and cultures. The future is imagined and the end leads to the renewal again.

Is this the start of the earth and what the moon observes? I often wonder about our beginnings and whether we keep renewing after destroying ourselves and so the cycle of man's selfish greed continues to devastate with chaos. This is quite an epic journey here through your imagination, love Dolly x

Yes, the moon's eye view of life on Earth from beginning to end. As I re-wrote it for the contest, I had your exact thoughts in mind--do we keep repeating until we get it right and learn to live in peace and harmony with everything else on the planet? Something to think about. Thanks so much for your review.
