An uplifting post Debra and there is a lack off appreciation in the world for the little things in life and we should count our blessings as we journey through life, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Hi Debra! Good to see you back and loved your gratefulness poem. That's the best way to live to always remember how blessed we are in those "silver linings" no matter all the daily trials of the "lessons".

Dear Debra, you craft these succinct verses so well. And this senryu doesn't disappoint, conveying its strong message that is so familiar and yet so easily forgotten - to count our blessings. As ever, beautifully presented too. Well done! Hope you and your family are keeping well:)) Debbie xx

A lovely senryu poem, Debra dear. I sense and see the grateful heart within. How refreshing in these times of copious complaints. Sigh.
Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the senryu.

They say, especially in the song, and actually the poet, John Milton wrote every cloud has a silver lining, despite the fact that we use dark as a grim metaphor, we could weave hope into that particular metaphor. Beautifully written Debra, blessings Roy

Not seen anything from you in a while and it is good to see you back in writing. I think all too often we do not appreciate even the smallest things in our lives the way we should. Sometimes the very smallest things in our lives are the biggest blessings if we really think about it. Patricia.

This senryu, The Gift of Life, has the proper formatting and reminds the readers to accept all the highs and lows in life, because this is the only road we have here.
