This story, Light Up the Sky, is a terrific tale of the supernatural and the relaying of a needed message to a happy-to-hear-it young man. It's tough for me to believe in such things, but happy it happens for others.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and wonderful review. I respect how belief is tough, but truly, all that is needed, is a personal experience to alter a belief. After all, the energy in our body that boots up with every electrical pulse, evolved from, "Somewhere Before", is now in recharge mode, "Somewhere Here", only to travel on to, "Somewhere Else". Lol! Thank you for a great review and kind thoughts from reading my story about the terrific experience I shared. Being chosen to transfer this message for this sweet woman came easy. Being open to acknowledging spirit energy, in a sense, gave the green light, for this sweet, " Grandma Spirit" to speak to her grandson, once again!

This is interesting. It seem everything I'm reading lately whether fiction or non fiction is about the death interacting with the living. I thing it is unusual there is so much of that going on recently. I'm glad it made the grandson happy

Hi Beth. Thank you for your kind comments on my poem. The common talk of Supernatural or Paranormal experiences only became accepted within the last 20-25 years, due to the rise in researchers, inventors, social media, etc... The fact of this matter is that unexplainable spirit activity was quite evident back as far as the first century A.D. The technology and devices of today proves beyond a doubt, there is spirit energy of sorts, and perhaps within the next generation or two, Science 101, will have a new subject! LOL! Don't forget, people were punished severely and deemed insane had this subject been spoken about. Thank you again, Beth

Thank you so very much for your kind thoughts about my writing. It's kind of funny as I read what you said that it may have frightened him. WHAT ABOUT ME! LOL! Luckily, I have known spirit since age 5. I have only seen two full bodied apparitions, but just because they cannot be seen, they can't fool me. I know when energy is near. Good and not good. Thank you so very much, Lindsey! Yes, this was a very special and amazing occurence for me, and for this young man as well! I am quite happy to be able to share the story in writing form. Many people are hesitant to believe in such testimony pertaining to the supernatural, unless they also can share a story. Thank you, again!

This is just my personal preference but your paragraphs are huge. If it was my work I'd break them down to 3-5 sentences each. Good luck in the contest.
