Many adults are so selfish that they only think about themselves and not about the children in the situation. I hate seeing that. Good luck with the contest. I can't say I enjoyed reading, but only because of the subject. It hurts to see children hurting and I have seen it way too often.

This turned out so be a really good ABC poem. Sometimes, writing to fit that format can be hard due to finding sentences that fit due to its letters.
