Hi Jessica,
well firstly, a big congratulations on your win in this contest.

Sage advice... time is fleeting and so may your chances be, as I found out. Never finding the right time to confront my father and ask the questions that needed answering. I felt the time had finally arrived, all I needed was to wait for the 'right' time.

Well, sadly all the angst and yes, hate, meant for nothing as my father developed Alzheimer's, and at that point I realised just how useless hanging on to anger, to regret... hell, to any negative emotion, adds to nothing in the end. Only forgiveness can set a soul free.

I love the lingering tone of this short form... ten words that say so much.

With our thoughts we create...
a gentle heart.

    James, I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with your dad and the unanswered questions you must endure. But I admire the wisdom in your words. It takes great strength to come to terms with things we cannot change, let alone grow from the experience. You should be very proud of this.

I find it difficult to make sense of such short pieces, but you nailed it girlie, and should be proud to be recognized.

believe. Yes, tomorrow isn't a given. Forgiveness is
a part of life many can't comprehend or do.

I completely agree with this. I believe try not to do anything you'd need forgiveness for and if you do ask humbly. Aldo I believe in forgiving others. Anything less bring negativity to the world I think. Good writing!

Congrats on your win here. It's challenging to pack any punch within such limited space but this 2-8-2 managed to do it. A potent message and a rhyme. Very well done.

OMGosh girl, this is amazing! You are certainly doing a beautiful job as a solo dancer, yet I do miss joining you out there! We are just joining different things This was gorgeous and I am so happy for you! I can't give you a six on this (even tho you deserve it) only because I have gone crazy w them today. I have one for you, but I am saving it for a another one I saw. And then I am all done already! Great job and congrats on the win!

These words are so true. In order for us to be forgiven we have to forgive, even if it is our own self. I really like your poem. Congratulations on your first-place win!
