Wow, you let 'em have it!
I am a champion of the ladies!
Women, in general, have been downplayed, disregarded and demeaned for centuries.
They have to do so much more than men, just to survive:
Shave your legs and armpits. Endure a monthly cycle that would kill men. Carry a new human inside themselves for 9 months and after going through the pain of childbirth, care for the baby, while trying to maintain the rest of the family and lose the extra weight. Live forever with the changes in their bodies brought about by the pregnancy.
A man who makes many conquests is called a "stud," a woman who sleeps with more than one man is called a terrible name.
MY Mom was from a dirt poor Irish family of 11 children. She went to work after the third grade so all she had to guide her was her Irish Instinct. She did a damn good job.
And yes, busy with the yard and garden, a huge, dead branch broke off the 60' tall willow tree in my back yard and broke some things, just got it cut up and hauled away.
Always something.
Getting our first zucchinis, cucumbers and tomatoes from the garden, still waiting on 5 different peppers and eggplants.
Thanks for this!

Thank you, irish. Dear champion of women. I had to have a tree (huge) pine chopped down at my home. Broke a bedroom window and was a hazard. Broke my heart and was so expensive, I love tree's. I miss them here in the high desert and the seasons, but love it here otherwise. Blessings, Barbara. Good harvest

Yay for being a woman! I love it. I'm sorry your mom wasn't there for you. Extra hugs across the miles! My mother was wonderful. She was very loving and supportive. She steered me away from a career in forensics and I didn't understand it at the time. Now I see her wisdom. It's a hard career and you can't unsee the horrific nature of fallen men and women and their crimes. She said I was too pure to go into that field. Sending you my best today as always,

Then you are saying you are not a "Birthing Person?" Woke nonsense! Why not just leave the great plan to God and follow his lead. Man, Woman, Child. All made in his image, and I have to believe God is not a dozen different genders.

See, this is one more reason you are still here. This is only the second post of this type I have read. It gives me hope in humanity!

Great message

Half the battle in life comes from overcoming our own self image if those who supposedly love us have a weird, twisted view of what self worth is, they too had a poor example themselves, my desire is simple, Jesus is the one I.want to be like. And He wants us to love ourselves. See ourselves as He sees us. Beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy

Hello LovnPeace, Just seeing your name in print and reading your lively writing is putting a smile on my face. Woman, hear me roar, indeed.
Perhaps, it's time that real Women gather and show the world what a Woman truly is and what she can do that no Other sex or gender can do.
I could go on, but I'll stop before I become vulgar and crass. I'll let others just use their imagination. Perhaps, they will be more crass
than I.

Of special note:

I gave birth
match that
no further
definition needed
no greater value

(Barb, great ending to your poem. Suggestion: I would put an exclamation point after "match that!"

A timely poem. WOKE, selling your soul for votes, IMHO.

Great photo. Well done, well said. Barbara, I can hear your roar.

Thank you, sweety. I appreciate your thought, but I don't use punctuations in poetry. I don't like it or the looks of it. Bless you. Barbara, xox

Barbara,

Some of my progenitors were shanty Irish. Too many cultures value men over women. That caused a big problem when China instituted it's one-child policy with mandatory abortions. Abortions were used for sex selection. I had never heard the term split-tails. Interesting.

Yes, women and men are of equal value and complement each other.
