Hi Sandra,
There's a nice ebb and flow to this piece. It seems to be quite a normal scene for Margot but then a seemingly commonplace accident changes all that at the end. It's nice plot developments like this that make the piece so interesting.
Really?' Margot took a sip of her hot brew- missing speech marks at thee beginning here.

Thank you again, I think you should be voted, 'reviewer of the year!' I've put the missing speech marks in. Thank goodness you have sharp eyes. War hugs, my friend. xx

Hi Linda, sorry I'm so late replying, it's been hectic here these last few days. Unexpected, but warmly welcomed visitors, (diet went right down the pan!!) Now to get back on track, if that's possible!
I really don't understand why your copy stopped at... WAS ... I just don't understand it! Oh well, it must be the FS gremlins at work again! LOL.
Bessie and Margot's investigations continue in the next part, and we discover some OMG!!!! So that will be interesting, don't you think????
Thank you so much, my dear friend, for another of your amazing reviews, Graham always knows when I'm reading yours, because I laugh so much.
Love you so much, my wonderful friend. Sending lots of hugs, with all my love. :)) Sandra xxxxx

Very good chapter to move the action forward and discover why someone wants Meg dead. Miles certainly has good reason to be angry at his parents, but is one of them a murderer? Gwendolyn is. A message hidden behind a picture is a good method of getting evidence discovered.

Which one of them is the murderer? I haven't been told yet, that Bessie is very tight lipped!! Lol. Thank you for another lovely review, Carol, I really appreciated it. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

You left us hanging with this ending. I cannot wait until your next chapter. What happened to the maid and the picture was surprising to Margot for some reason. I wondered why the picture was broken?

I have to admit, I do like leaving my readers wanting to know what's coming. Lol. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this chapter, Rosemary, it means a lot. And a big hug for the golden star! That was a real bonus. Have a wonder week, what's left of it. Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx

Life is our stories, living means obstacles, difficulties; here in this chapter clash is the point of view; one more clash between Lord Brandon and Miles, over and above misunderstanding, misconceptions, human nature; progressive plot development; curious ending; well said, well done, post god speed more, share post not 4 self-joy-pride but 4 God and readers worldwide; can't reply; FREE MEMBER, sick; Alcreator Litt Dear (DR)

Are you ill? I do hope you're not! Free member's can post as well, just not vote or give 6stars out, at least that's what I've been led to believe. I always value your reviews, dear Alcreator Litt Dear, so please continue. I've just read you're poem on your profile page, it's lovely.
Thank you so much for this lovely, encouraging review, my friend. I really appreciate it. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

Hello Sandra,
Another marvelous chapter in the book as the plot thickens once again.
The review of the major suspects should help readers to follow the story line.
And now the possibility of a new suspect, perhaps someone who covets Miles attention and would benefit from Meg's accidental death.
Miles mother seems to be involved more then is being revealed, and the short mention about riding a stallion and a miraculous recovery suggests subterfuge.
Now If you tell me it was the butler, I'll never read another Mitchell story! LOL
Well done.
Best wishes.
Robert

I wouldn't sink so low as to say the butler did it! Lol, He's been the villian responsible for murders in other author's novels. There is a surprise coming up but not the answer of whodunnit ... not yet. Thanks so much, Robert, for this lovely review, and the golden star.
Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Aha! It seems the hiding place wasn't another book, after all. This is another impeccably written chapter. You're great at interspersing dialogue and action naturally, so one never trips up or gets misdirected while reading it. It's only in contrast to other examples that this is so apparent!
Beautifully written, and a very entertaining read :-)

What a lovely compliment, Mike, thank you so much. I'm getting the clues together now. Just a few more chapters. I'm so pleased you are still enjoying my story. Thanks, Mike. :) Sandra xx

The enigma continues to be unsolved .The servants are great help in solving problems. What sticks out from the picture coud be what they are all looking for... Your story is delightful to read and you alway leave with a 'Oh- I- wish- I- knew- what -it- is " feeling..

What a lovely review to wake up to, Sanku, it's such an encouraging

The search continues. I am beginning to feel sorry for Miles though. Parents who are untrustworthy can be a huge problem in any age. I was just wondering how much Jane and the other invisible servants know. They may be a wealth of information.
Perfect chapter.

You are so right about servants being a wealth of information, and they do love to gossip. That was how Lady Gwendoly discovered Miles was still with Meg. Who can you trust these days. Miles is in for some surprises. I won't say more. :))
Thank you so much, Lancellot, your reviews are always so encouraging and you've been very supportive of my story. I really appreciate it. Thank you, also for the golden sixth star! That is very kind. Have a good week, my friend. :) Sandra

Another twist to the tail! I do love the way you leave readers hanging at the end of each chapter, Sandra. It makes the week we have to wait until you next post more suspenseful, and incites the reader to try and work it out by themselves. Fat chance of that happening, because your plots are always so intricately woven!
