Hi Sandra,
Another excellent continuation here. Nice developments with Richard and Gwendolyn.
days he'd been away.
.
Standing - you have an errant full stop on the in-between line here.
'I's thinking she's forgotten all about the letter.' Bessie made her way back down the stairs, shaking her head. - yep, me too.... lol

Thank you so much, Gareth. You have some sharp eyes there! No one else spotted the errant full stop, it's gone now! I'm so pleased you liked it. Thanks, my friend. :)) Sandra

I've enjoyed writing this book, it won't be as long as my others, but long enough for a novella. Just over 50.000 words. I'm so pleased you've enjoyed these chapters, Carol. It means such a lot that you've read them all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Love you always. Sandra xxxx

I really enjoyed the drama in this chapter, carrying through the loaded conversation and end with some rough and tumble and a heart attack - great way to end the chapter :-). I'm afraid I didn't note spags this time - I was just enjoying the read. There certainly wasn't anything significant enough to trip me.

I am wondering about the change in verb tense of two sentences. First, how many of you knew -past tense. Then or don't - present tense. Seems it should be didn't. Up to you. Otherwise, a gripping chapter to the end.

Quite a good story. So much suspense. I just got done watching a Victorian series. It was stationed after the sinking of the Titanic. In fact, many of the people who were on the Titanic were mentioned in this movie. Your story is reminding me of that movie. I think this will turn many heads when you are done with the characters.

The Titanic will never really be laid to rest, too many people are still interested in the story. I watched the movie a few years ago and I am still fascinated by it. Morbid, really!! Lol. I think it was only a few years ago the last surviver died. She was a baby when the ship went down.
Thank you, Rosemary, for this lovely review, your comments put a smile on my face. It would be nice to have heads turn when it's finished. Thanks, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

do you know who the last survivor is? is there a book out about her?
-
I'm not sure about a book, but she was interviewed in a documentry on the TV. I'll have to Google it. I'll let you know what I can find out.

O.K. I have taken a pause from writing and reviewing as it's been so busy here. I have to get some things done around the house.

This is another well-written chapter, Sandra. It's got wonderful intrigue. You played out the scene with Richard Crawley and Lord Brandon perfectly, until the end, when Lord Brandon finally collapsed. Now I can't wait until the birthday party.

You had some great contrast in this chapter between the love scene of Miles and Margot and the tense confrontation between Lord Crawley and Richard in the bar and that really exemplified how Miles and Margot or Meg are torn between their love for each other and their family obligations. Nice job in the dialogue and I think you had some nice detailed descriptions of that romantic moment with the gown and shoes that put us right there with the couple estory

Comment from Carol Hillebrenner
Margot and Miles are related to some truly unlovely people, although she is one less as her brother's wife has poisoned him. Looking forward to seeing what awful thing his father will do to break them up.

You're right, family are not always nice, there are some horrid ones around in real life! Now Lord Brandon knows, he's not a happy chappie. Fireworks ahead!! Thank you for your lovely review and your constant support Carol. I really appreciate you. Warm hugs, Sandra xx
Comment from Cindy Warren
I'm glad it registered on Richard. He deserved to know what was happening, and why, even if it was only for a moment. I wonder if people will think Miles' father had something to do with it, since he was seen grabbing Richard a moment before.

I had to have him know his sister had poisoned him; he knew she hated him as much as he hated her. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter, Cindy. Thanks so much for the lovely review. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
