This story is very heart-warming and lovely. You described the scenario well where an angel is believed to have intervened in someone's life. I think angels are among us and that they do rescue us sometimes. Your writing illustrates this idea very well. Nice job!

This is a very powerful story of how your guardian angel saved your life. My guardian angel came in human form. My Aunty Pat was mine. She was there throughout most of my life. I believe she still watches over me.

I am not a Christian believer, more of a Buddhist if anything but I do recognize that there are things beyond our knowledge. At least three times in my life I felt a guardian angel or something intervening and saving my life.

Wow that's quite a story. I had something like that happen in traffic once -- less than a hundredth of a second kept me and a car with two young children in it from colliding in head-on traffic, and you could just barely see the scuffs on the two cars as we passed at 60mph or so.
Just one small (but vital) correction:
*We quickly calculated that we had not gone off the road when we had*
I am quite certain you meant to say:
*that, HAD WE NOT gone off the road when we had*
The rest looks fine. Thanks for the read! I'll remember this one. Best,
