Happy Easter, Bro. He gave Himself to face that cross
yet for our price was set;
the sinless Son of God was killed
my ransom's price was met.

Hi, Roy. Your poetry is always so inspirational but you ahve outdone yourself with this one for Easter. I have no doubt you will win the contest with stanzas like this, my favorite:
"Now God is love; revealed in Christ,
who came to save all men;
no thought of self or lust-filled need
was part of Jesus' ken.
Blessings, my friend. Happy Easter! Bob

Hi Roy;
- a poem which set the cadence and tempo and with a rhythmic meter of iambic tetrameter followed by iambic trimeter and written in a trochee format which helps making the reading clear, fluid and easy.
- internal and asked Journal rhyming's were supportive to the meaning and concept of each of your lines therefore making the rhythm to flow smart and smoothly. Also none of your rhymes were forced nor labored which was also helpful.
-seem to grasp the essence of love to our Lord Jesus' for living words of justice and peace and that love, above all, is more important, as to turn the other cheek,
than to heat the fire of hate that which can destroy all and along with love.
- good luck in the contest and may the good Lord be with you always my friend.

This is so lovely to read that I felt compelled to read it over again. This should do really well in the contest. It is so well written and conveys the real meaning of Easter. Good luck.

Perfect poem for the contest. It tells us what love and kindness really is. The cross showed us love and forgiveness.
The poem flows well with its 8-6-8-8 meter and easy abcb rhymes. Nothing forced here.
Good luck in the contet
Keep writing.
Joan.

You are absolutely right and this was very well penned stating the not to obvious to those that truly don't understand.
Nice testimony in a subtle way, good rhyme and flow making it easy to read and understand to those that are open.
Great entry to the contest. Very well spoken

Very good, Roy. People nowaday are consumed with "rights" and what they deserve and should have. How foolish. They beg, ask, demand... even pray for... what they want and think they need. Aside from food, water, and shelter, we really do NOT need very much. We just WANT it. Happiness doesn't come from things anyway. It comes from being secure in love... of your family, your spouse, and your God, Who makes all love possible.
