Bubbles! Young children do love to watch them fly, and those from gum are even more of a mystery-particularly when they originate from a green, grinning creature, haha
what a great face...thanks so much for sharing his adventure with all of us Brooke,

This is a delightful, bouncy flow and playful mood. I love the description of the green creature with purple feet. How interesting that the narrator was so frightened of the creature until he saw it chewing gum! The narrator concludes that since he isn't chewing off limbs he must be okay. Then the discovery that it was the popping of the bubble gum that brightened the creature. He had scared himself. It's great that the narrator ends up reassuring the green creature. Such delightful fun. judi

Brooke, Great poem! It reminds me of my youngest son. We went to a minor league ball game. The mascot scared him. Even now that he's 5, he will mention the scary giant woodchuck!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful poems!

This really flowed well, and was very descriptive. I could see this in a child's book of poems. Thanks for sharing such a fun poem.

Hi Brooke,

This is absolutely charming. How could a child possibly be frightened of a gum chewing monster. I wish I had this poem to read to my younger son when he was little and scared of one of his clown dolls. I had to shove it into the back of his closet.

Hugs,
Lou

Hi, Brooke. This is very clever and cute. I do hope you read these to Sawyer...or at least make sure he hears them when he's a bit older. Well, done by a loving grandmother. :) Bob

You must do a children's book. These are just too cute and that picture of you grandson is so perfect for the poem. What a little cutie. Well done as always, Rox

Oh My Goodness... I love the eyes! This is a great kids poem that's squelches the bad guy. Rather squelches what the kids perceive as the bad guy. The pictures says it all. Thanks for sharing Sawyer with us. Blessings, Keri
