Always peace is preferred, and the emotions tied to it are so beautifully captured in this poem, with strong interior images and wonderful artwork.
Very well done.

An elegant and accomplished poem my friend. This is the first time I've had the pleasure of reviewing your work and this sets a high standard. My favourite line? Rest in the arms of a breeze. Tom

Tom, after reading your words, I am so humbled. Wow....I am so encouraged to continue to write, as I have only just started. I have found that sharing words like this is a very powerful communication; something I want to continue on with. And your inspiring words most certainly make me want to push on. Thank you for your most generous review and all your lovely comments. I feel blessed. And thanks for letting me know your favourite line! It is also one of my favourite's because as I wrote it, I didn't really know where it came from....the words just matched my feeling at that very moment. Hey, I want to go back there right now! HA!. Thank you so much for your generous review and comments. I remain..........sincerely yours, Sue

One could sense the feeling of freedom of spirit in the gift of presence of peace. The reiteration deepens that presence. Good choice of wording. Well done. LadyMary

LadyMary, thank you for highlight the "retiteration". Many, many comments about that. Right now it stands at about 50/50 - for and against. Ha! I still sit on the fence about that. However, I am glad you found it to have an impact that does appeal to you. I thank you for your most generous review and all your lovely comments. I remain........Sincerely yours, Sue

Another well paced poem. It gave me a sense of reaching for something spiritual... something to be desired. If I don't keep my eyes on the ball, it can dissappear. That's how I felt reading this poem. Thank you for the enjoyable poem.

Okiboy, I have only just started to write and when I hear someone like you say you've felt something by reading it....well, I'm out of words. I've shared things and time and ideas, etc. throughout my life; as a mother, wife, sister, friend. Yet, I didn't know until recently how wonderful it is to share art and poetry. To give and receive in the arts transcends so much. I appreciate your generous review and I thank you for sharing your words and feelings.....Sue

Jamar, I also want to walk down that lovely country road. When I was a young lass and visited my relatives down in Tennesee, they lives on a dirt road like this. I would walk it and, even as a child, I totally 'felt' the calm of it all. So, thank you for commenting on that image. And I thank you for your most generous review and lovely, encouraging comments. Much appreicated! Most sincerely, Sue

Well, that looks like a wonderful field to find somewhere to lie down and sleep on a peaceful, summer day. Very nice sentiments expressed.

I think you do have a nice poem here, but some of your imagery is muddled. How do you stumble upon nectar?
How do you sip from fields? (Suggestion: How about "vines?") The third and fourth stanza are better images than the first two.

I loved the words written here and the picture backed up your words written.
"Peace, sweet peace
The nectar so longed for
Stumbled upon in the rarest of
Moments when not sought;
Peace, sweet peace
Oh, to have a field of that bountiful,
Glorious taste waiting to be sipped,
To give the heart song;
Peace, sweet peace
Rest in the arms of a breeze
Warmth to the depths, cool to the touch
Considering not where I lie;
Peace, sweet peace
Don't wrest me away
From your fleeting presence."
Yes peace that also brings love
and happiness. When will this happen within our wide world.?
Brilliant writing.

Honeytree, thank you so much for your generous review and lovely comments. Thankfully with art and poetry and writing, we can continue to express these desires. Things may seem very bleak at times, but if we didn't have the arts, we would all be doomed. And thankfully, there are sites like this one where we can all share these feelings, wishes, hopes. Thank you again for your most thoughtful and sincere comments. Regarads.....Sue
