I never thought of life this way but it makes complete sense. Adults get so down when it pours, you're right, instead we need to get back up and jump in with no worries of getting wet again. Thank you for sharing. N.B

Tony, a charming poem, and an important lesson.
Kids our natural optimists. They don't look for 'perfect' weather,
the enjoy what comes their way. Seems to me, we should all be sent back
to kindergarten--relearn the important stuff.
Peace, Lee

p.s. I'm enjoying your latest political satire and hope to have time to review it in the next day or two. Loving the humour and slick dialogue!

Yes Tony, I enjoyed my childhood immensely, no cares, I didn't like schoolwork, but boy, could I play? Well done, a fun entry in this nove ottoman poetry contest, it's a good one, (how they pick winners from these is beyond me!) but this is as good as any, well done,. Good luck, blessings, Roy

Thanks, Roy. I enjoyed my childhood, too. Perhaps even more so in retrospect! LOL
It must be a gargantuan and unrelenting task sifting through all the entries to these competitions. I guess that, as with most committee decisions, the consensus view is a subjective compromise.

Love, love, love!! So whimsical and dance-like, a sophisticated poem presented with the innocence of a child's heart. Thank you for this beautiful poem!
Some of your writing reminds me of Robert Louis Stevenson.
Blessings, Analie

What a lovely review, Analie. It's a while since I read Stevenson's A Child's Garden of Verses. It used to be quite a favorite of mine! Many thanks for the six stars. Best wishes, Tony
