Seize the day! This is a very well written poem with a smooth flow of words, making for an easy read. There is very good imagery and descriptive scheme.

You go, girl! What a great attitude for facing life. It's always a struggle, but it does have its moments of glory. Good rhymes. A very interesting artwork, too. Lovely work!

I like the message here. We only live once make the best of it. Well penned and great advice to all of us. Morale surely can make the difference if we fail or succeed in life. joan marie

Welcome back Sue. It was a lovely surprise to see a posting from you today. I've missed you. I love this poem. It's so heartfelt and full of emotion. I especially love the second stanza:
No cease in hope--no lying down
As victory in bleakness is nigh
When in the depths
I'll always rise
For I have my own battle cry
It feels sad and yet full of hope. I love the rhyme scheme too.
I havn't been here much either over the last few weeks. I'll PM you later and maybe we can catch up.
Hugs

I guess for each of us, our battle cry can be a different thing. I was delighted that you had such a posititve look on the way you would be affected and hold your head high. Nice job with the poem.

We live our lives and enjoy our lives. If one becomes unwell we become better again. No one knows when they will die so we might a well enjoy life and help others on the way. I enjoyed reading your words here and the art work is really great.

Sixteezkid,
Your poem is strong in message and very well presented. I like the format and your rhyme and rhythm are excellent. My favorite verse is the last. It really added a lot of strength.
