A most beautiful sentiment and beautifully expressed too, Roy. I enjoyed every verse but my favorite would have to be this one:

Deep in the canyons of the mind
that screams for sweet release,
I can't contain that precious brew

Hi Roy.
What's that line, whereby through the grace of God go I.
I believe its true.
Very nice expression here. I really like your line...
"Who stirs the scribal cauldron?" - very poetic.
Most of the poem is in 8-6 although the meter is a tad off in a few places. It doesn't matter though, the poems flows smoothly.

A poet is one who is passionately in love with the language. They write about the feelings, about emotions and take you to a different world. They are true philosophers. Maybe they hear the whispers of the God, I loved the poem . Thank you for sharing.
