What a wonderful finish, Sandra. I really learned a lot about zebras, so this was not only entertaining but very educational. I was not aware that there were three different kinds, to me a zebra is a zebra so I really appreciated the pictures of the rumps. Nor did I realize the different sounds each category makes. Very well done. Jim said that he has seen the spotted one before my time so that was great. Thank you Graham. Hugs, smiles and blessings. Alie

Thank you, Alie. I thought the little spotted one was so cute. I didn't know any of what I discovered in my research, so I've also come out of this project learning loads. I'm so pleased you enjoyed reading all about them, my friend. Thank you so much for all your support. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

Six stars for the finished book! Lovely to the max.
Is this a typo?
To help them in the wilds, Zebras have been blessed with super hearing and eyesight, which helps them keep clear of hyenas, cheaters,(cheetahs) and other predators. They also pack a powerful kick, and can run up to 35 mph. As speed is vital, a newborn foal is born with legs that are 95% the length of its mothers and is all set to run moments after birth.

Yes, it was, thank you so much for pointing that out! I've dashed in and made the correction.
Thank you, also, for the lovely six stars, and for all your support you've given me throughout the 26 letters, Rebecca, I've really appreciated it so much. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

I've started a new fiction book, not for Eric this time. I'm posting next week. It's totally different to anything else I've written, so I'll be watching out for how it's received. If it's not good, I'll drop it. Fingers crossed. :) xxxx

So well done this alphabet book and well deserving of the six pack I am giving it, not just for this entry but for the whole thing. All those different kinds of zebras remind me of the two different kinds of magpie in the countryman's lore.
'There be the hedge magpie and the field magpie,' said the countryman.
'Oh!' said the towney. 'What's the difference?'
'Well now, your field magpie, her be black and white, see.'
'And the hedge magpie?' asked the towney.
'Ah, that be white and black.'

LOL!!! I love that! I must tell that to my kids, they're always teasing me, I'll get my own back. Thank you so much for the six stars, Jim, I really appreciate it. It was really good to get to the end of this one. Now I'll be back to fiction, so much simpler. Thank's for all your support, my friend. Sandra xx

I have today finished my first draft of book three of the Mill trilogy, well no it is really the first rewrite of the first draft. Is that the second draft? I'm not sure. What it means is that I now have the shape of the whole thing actually on paper. At the current rate of posting that means I should finish posting by Christmas 2022 - with luck.

Sounds good to me! I've been writing a book, that I have no idea what to call it. It was supposed to be a romantic one, but at the moment, I'm up to chap 13 and there isn't a lot of romance in it! It's way out of my comfort zone, so I'm going to see how it goes on here. If it flops, I'll pull the plug and go with what works for me. You have done so well, Jim, this book is so well written, the story line is what I love to read, and I'm glad there are more books coming. xx

Best of luck with yours. This one goes up to 1901 the second book goes up 1943 and the third to 1950. Heather and Tommy are the only characters common to the entire length .

Very nice, and well done on the wrap up to your children's book. The zebra is a fantastic animal. I think the first time I became aware of them was the movie, Sheena. That movie made me believe people rode them, but they are not good for that.
Congrats on the completion.

I have clicked on a six three time and it keeps reverting back to a five. GRRRR. You have written a great service for these children, I can't wait to see what you come with next.
