Great poem...you and your moving pictures astound me..I haven't dug into it much but I don't know how you do it?!? Love the poem, the rhymes are tight and the rhythm flows perfectly. It's an interesting question you raise about a fans need to know more. I've been been writing for about 8 years now, nothing published ( haven't attempted that yet), so I guess I can only really speak to the fan side. I'm not sure how I would feel if a writer for my favorite series tried to quit or just give up. I guess it depends on whether or not they promised the book.
Once again, I enjoyed the read.

Your poetry is always good, Dean K, but the story has a very strange end! Did he write again? 'You'll never know how the end will go'. Come again? If he never writes the end, I question how long the public will stand around holding their breath. Even if you build a better mousetrap, it's nothing without the mice. (Do you know what he meant? Are you gonna tell?)

Hah, nope, I have no idea why he would just up and quit, I'll have to consult with my muse when they're not so busy with other projects, lol.
Thanks for the highly entertaining review, vapros. Always a pleasure to hear your unique insights.

you are the greatest and you know it but don't flaunt it so much I have learned from you and a few others who care if I make it or not

Thank you, country, and you will "make it", as you said. I don't doubt it for a second. You already have in my book!

This is thought-provoking my friend! It stimulated my senses - from your teaser down to your notes.
No writer can be successful overnight, I agree. It takes a lot of guts and liters of oil to burn to finally write one good piece.
And you are right, it is the fans that give life to the characters you created.
I have a friend (may she rest in peace), whom I've seen her development as a writer. Ironic, because it took her to suffer so much before she had wrote her first published piece. Then, she died. One day, I'll write a story about her.

As Alynis Morisette expressed so accurately in her song, "Ironic"..."Isn't it ironic, don' 'cha think? A little too ironic? Yeah, I really do think..."
Thanks for such an awesome review, Mae--

Dear D K,
Smiled all the way through. Reminded me of a story about a TomCat that caught his tail in a lawn mower. The cat howled and took off for parts unknown. The last verse said "No end in sight".
Keep on trucking.

Great piece of work. I don't think for a minute that we write for others. We are more like Van Gogh. I won't cut off an ear, but I think I understand why he did...John

I like your concept of fans breathing life into characters. Thanks for adding all the video effects too. I enjoyed your rhymed couplets and your storytelling. I admired that you left us wondering... Cheers from Florida- Joan

What a six star worthy tale of a writer. This is a neat twist. As payback the author left his readers wanting more. Sometimes the fans seem to think they are the boss of the author. It was a blow to J.K.Rowling fans when she stopped writing the Harry Potter series. Doyle was never allowed to permanently get rid of Sherlock Holmes. Excellent AABB rhyme throughout and a spine-tingling account of what he wrote. After having to wait so long for success, did he ever turn the tables! Great story. judi

Hats off to you! This provocative piece truly challenges the reader to come to grips with the multi-level messaging you present. Did the writing of this piece change you?
To what degree will it change those of us who read it?
What challenge does the piece present to its readers?
Your "notes section" supports exactly the questions that I pose. Iit's my believe that any piece of writing worthy of being called that changes both author and reader.
The "creation" aspect of the author's writing alone is evidence of that. My contemplating the message(s) that you present changes me.
The addition of the photos adds an additional dimension, particularly the use of the typewriter. Some of your younger readers may not even recognize the instrument. Truly enjoyed your work.
