I loved his internal thoughts at the beginning, very funny. Poor thing. But it's a good sign that she's awake, at least for a little while. Great chapter! Didn't see any nits. :)

Excellent.
The only comment I can make is that you're posting only bits of a chapter. I feel like a chap served a nice drink in a small glass, not even half a peg. It leaves me with a feeling asking for more. May I say you're teasing your readers ?
Waiting for the next post.

When I posted entire chapters nobody read them because they were too long. So I said, "I want people to read my book so I know if it's any good." That's why I post in sections. How long the section is depends where I can find the best hook. This one is short because, it truly is the end of a chapter. Thank you for your support. I appreciate it.

This is very well written and adds to the building of Leya's and Steven's relationship. There is good imagery and descriptive scheme. Good job.

Barbara,
Another emotionally charged chapter of "Tantalizing Eyes." The emotional bond is deepening for Steven and Leya. Its sad her yellow fever took the turn for the worse. How much is poor Leya going to have to endure. Your dialogue and descriptive scheme are perfection, here's an example:
Finally, on the fourth day during Steven's short visit, Leya was awake. As he stood beside her bed, he was surprised that her beautiful deep brown eyes had lost their sparkle. He missed them not reading his soul.

Another page turner in your romantic story.
Melissa.

I would have gone more in-depth but you don't need a dissertation. I love your book. I follow you faithfully. Anything you, Jada, Alison Williams, dmjones, Carol, or Lola writes. Check out the newest chapter to Jada's book "Cunning Challenge."

A yellow fever? How scary.. Reminded me of the movie "Jezebel" with Bette Davis and Henry Fonda; I believe, he was diagnosed with yellow fever. You brought out its agony so well. Loved your character development, the dialogue, the love Steve feels for Leya. I do hope and pray that she would survive the toxic stage of the disease. Loved your suspense; and can't wait to find out what happens in the next chapter.

Great storyline. I look forward to reading more. In the first sentence, wouldn't it be better to put the word "was" between she (was) slightly propped? I really liked the line "He missed them not reading his soul."Good work. Thanks for sharing.
