You tried to use as few extra words. That's certainly a challenge. I thought your poem was nice, but the last line felt a little of for me. It flows really nicely up until (then love)
Perhaps it's just me but it's something to look at

words, yeah...I've been off for a couple of weeks. Family stuff, then writer's block. Yikes! Nice break, though. So glad you liked this. It was not an easy word list (looked simpler than it was). Thanks for your great review. Sue :-))

They always...always look simpler than they are....I do not do them...I am too much of a rebel to write with other people's words unless they strike me just right...so far none have.

Good to see you back, Sue! This is a great little poem, and highlights the ambivalence of love. It flows well, with good rhythm...I didn't realise it had to use certain words until the end. Good luck with the contest. :)

I almost titled it, "Ambivalene". Ha! So good to be back. Had a few things going on and then a dry spell!! Freaked me out! Thanks so much for your review. Glad you liked it! Sue :-)

Almost, but not quite logical without a stretch of the imagination but well done none the less and after all, poetry should stratch our imaginations. Slainte, rhymer1.
