Amen, sister. Art is so subjective! I sometimes read the stuff that gets published and wonder what the hell?! Then I submit a piece I think is fabulous and an editor things, WTF? Ha! Guess we have to all be true to our own art, do what speaks to US, and know that somewhere, someone else will be moved and if even only one other is, then I say it's worth while. :)

I really enjoyed this peom. I think the picture you picked for it was very appropriate. Very unique topic for this poem. but I think you did very well with it. I see no spag. Good luck in the contest.

Sue - this is a really good tectractys. Perfect form and better than that, a really thought provoking message - I like it!! So many of these syllable things end up just being something to say that fits the syllables - but this is quite profound! Brooke

Brooke, I like these syllable-count thingies to LEARN that each word must count! Great exercises, they are. So glad you liked this. Saying it is "profound" is the biggest compliment I can even think of. Thanks so much for your awesome review! Sue :-))

Ikatka, so glad you really enjoyed this! I do love a tetractys now and then. Love being highly selective with word choices. I just thought of the word "art" and it took about 10 minutes for the first 4 lines, but after I saw those lines, the last line just flew out. It made so much sense! HA! I was thrilled. Thanks so much for your great review and comments. Sue
