Diny, yes...we go through the motions and emotions for a divorce. But there is something about getting the papers that is such a finality; a loss of so many hoped-for dreams. A life intended that wasn't fulfilled. A heartbreak, in a nutshell. Very surreal to see the decree. I looked at mine with just a glance and filed it, never to see it again. We both took it very hard. Sorry you had to go through the same thing. But, we do move on (thank goodness!) - Thank you for your very generous review and comments. Always appreciated, Sue

I enjoyed reading this poignant poem about the day a divorce is finalized. It was well crafted and flowed smoothly.
No revisions needed. Its a good read.
Well done.

THIS IS AWESOME! You are on fire lately, my friend, and I am so excited to read what comes next. Brevity can be very difficult and this packs one helluva punch. Bravo! :)

Brevity is very difficult, but sometimes I find it so suitable, because it does make me pause to consider each word. Ever notice in verbal conversation how much can be said in such few words? When someone else can just babble on for 10 minutes and not even make a point? HA!!!! Makes you want to say, "TRIM IT!" - LOL! Thanks so much for your great review. Always so appreciated. Yours, Sue

This is a great fifteen words story. Much said in the short lines and in the image. "Our names, separated by vs." Powerful, and sad.

Hi 60's,
I think each stanza is powerful here, but your final line shows how this can (at times) hit both sides of the separation.
Very good title and presentation.
Good luck in the contest.

This is a very effective poem: sad and regretful. It suggests perfection in its ending which was not there in its duration: "Our signatures-/Perfectly penned". Good luck in the contest. :)

We move on, but it still stays with us in some form. Why not? It was a huge part of our lives? 'Course, wouldn't go back for a million quid now! HA! Thanks for your review, Ray. :-)) Sue
