This is a really lovely
piece of free verse, with
a smooth flow to the words
that seem to sooth.
A real pleasure to review.
Margaret.

"Peace, sweet peace" That used to be my favorite line, lol, but now since the last of my 4 children left, sometimes all that peace gets on my last nerve lol, but regardless, I enjoyed your poem once again good job...Karen

I thought this was a wonderfully written piece. I especially enjoyed the artwork provided to accompany the poem. Seemed to fit the subject very well.

Great imagery, flows well and is a great commentary on a fleeting condition indeed.
Peace, sweet peace
Don't wrest me away
From your fleeting presence
Great stanza

The reader could feel the peace permeating from your words and gentle flow. A very nice poem. "The nectar so longed for Stumbled upon is the rarest of moments when not sought"- fantastic line and so true in life. You have some great analogys in this poem that truly wraps peace around the reader. Excellent job. Joyce

Though all these lines were good, my favorite ones were these:
Glorious taste waiting to be sipped,
To give the heart song;
Peace, sweet peace
Rest in the arms of a breeze
Great job with this one, Don

Don, as I am new at writing, I did not realize how good it would feel for others to get something out of my words. A mutual sharing; reviewer reads and then writes about specific words that have resonated. Thank you for highlighting those words you liked and for your most generous review. I really appreciate your taking the time. Most sincerely, Sue

I remember, not to long ago, that someone had taken my Wooden Soldiers poem and turned it into a war and soldier piece. I was asked if I would send it to a troop of fighting men in Iraq. I sent 120 copies with my blessing to their unit.
In return I received something that meant more to me than selling my story. It gave them something to read that showed our support, they sent me a certificate of thanks to put on my wall. I was thrilled. I meant the poem for something else, they saw soldiers in battle written all over it.
We never know what impact a few of our words will have on another, be encouraged; keep writing those good lines. P.S. You can check it out if you like. It is located back in my portfolio. WOODEN SOLDIERS Just hit the all button.

My oath, you are so right. THAT is a great story!! Amen! Wow, to have those boys touched by your words most certainly would tug at your heart strings and give you joy! Isn't sharing wonderful!!
I most certainly will read your poem. I have only just started to write, and am not critiquing yet. I'm not in that league yet. But most certainly can't wait to read what those soldiers read!
Thank you for writing and sharing that story.
Sincerely,
Sue

It seems that 'peace' is the topic of the times as many writers here are led to write about it. This peace that passes all undersatnding keeps out hearts and minds on the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
