An unusual way to express how you get your inspirations. For some reason, ideas for poems come to me as I witness what is going on in the world. Once in awhile writer's block will set in but not often.

Thank you, Paul :-) In truth, I'm not often blocked, but I do find the best ideas come once I'm already writing so the trick is usually just to get started!

Mike, This is a very nice and very well written poem about The Dance of Inspiration. I love your comments. Sometimes we just need a little nudge to get us started on a great poem or piece. You used very good descriptive words and very nice imagery from the art work you chose. Blessings, Teri

I think this is a great usage of both form and them, it bounces along at a brisk rate, well rhymed, articulate, and enough abstracting and ambiguity to make it skilfully and thematically perfect, well done FF, blessings Roy

Hi Michael,
A very wonderfully presented and written poem.
Especially enjoyed the whole first stanza...
An eddy forms from paper dust
and waltzes on the breeze...
yes, it leads one's thoughts into a magical dance.
Well done Sir!
I did enjoy reading your art... you turned a wonder into form.
With our thoughts we create...
melodic neuron's spark.
Kind regards,
James.

Thanks so much, James. Yes, the first stanza was what kicked things off. I was glad I managed to tie it back in at the end.

What a charming poem, Mike. The lilting words dance on the page. Isn't it wonderful when inspiration answers one's call? I couldn't pick a favourite stanza, the poem is a cohesive whole. Lovely.

Would exquisite be a superlative to far? I'm keeping this one to read again. Transcendent? That's the way a dance feels and you've chosen the metaphor I love the most. Free. The first stanza is my favorite. There's nothing like a Viennese waltz. It's indescribable, and yet... there it is... a poem.

You'll make me blush :-). I was thrilled with that first stanza - it came so naturally I was almost suspicious. The rest of the poem is in service to that initial image. I'm so glad you liked it!

It would be criminal not to give you my last six for this piece of creative brilliance. It had been so long since I've read any of your stuff, Michael, that I was beginning to wonder who this FLEEDLEFLUMP is that pops up on my queue for those I'm following. You must have been away for a while. Now, I can see why I originally started following you.
Thank you for inspiring me with your poetry!

Thanks so much, Jay :-). It's almost 8 years since I was last active, which I wouldn't believe if it wasn't for the dates on my older posts! I'm really happy you liked it.
