Such an appropriate message for these trying times. The photo is priceless and helps to bring this poem to life. The rhyming is pure not at all forced. I think this is a solid entry for the contest best of luck in that.

A much needed poem and clarion call for prayer and change. First, rid hatred in the heart. Thats the only way to achieve victory and attain peace of any kind. First within, then, without. Jesus is the Prince of Peace.
Sending you my best today as always, and blessings in Christ,
Sally xoxo

That is what loving God is, loving our neighbors no matter what colour or race. We are all His children and we are taught to lovely our brothers and sisters. Well done, this is an excellent poem for the contest. Good luck! :)) Sandra xx

This is a very interesting take. And yes the Bible is a tale of two different Points of View. You can tell it is written by different authors, because in the beginning books, there was some killing of those you hated, even by God himself. Then Jesus came, and new writers came too. It is nice to wish life can be all about love, but isn't that denying what we know humanity is really about?
Thought provoking work. Well done.

This is what I like to read as the best poetry! Thanks for sharing your notes that you went to God for inspiration and then wrote as he led. It is very much appreciated! Bill

A beautiful commentary on the love of Jesus and why hate is detrimental to those who succumb to its trap. I especially was taken by the lines "That person you hate, Jesus died for them too." Nicely done, my friend!

Very good work here;-) I do however, need to mention first that there are way to many commas that are placed after each line of this well thought out poem! This needs attention right away;-)
It rhymes until the very last two lines. ("just awaiting the day,
that they could be your friend!") You may think about tweaking that!
Overall poem is OUTSTANDING and it flows perfectly in sync with the words and the beat;-)
It depicts our Father in glorious form and is truth as far as it biblically goes!
Thank you for sharing this amazing poem and many blessings to you;-)

I'm approaching six months sober myself. I know how much this can change one's perspective. I don't know know if you're doing the steps, but you certainly have a higher power. Rely on it.
Best of luck in the competition . . . and in life.
Peace, Lee

The riots seem to be less about race and more about opportunists wanting to loot shops and cause trouble. Many jump on the band wagon when there is a riot and join the crowd without thinking of the reason why. Your write is filled with a plea for change and for people to join hands and celebrate each other's differences, much enjoyed Fonda, love Dolly x
