Thanx, Pam -- glad you enjoyed this one! :) We do all need a place of shelter from the comments and the harshness that life can be sometimes and even if that's just silence and another's breathing, that's good, too. :) :) May sunshine and solace find you this week, my lady! ;) Yvette

You are very welcome, Yvette. We do need those comforting things in our lives. Here's some extra sunshine for you😊

Your 5 line poetic offering is a 'stunner,' dear Yvette!
There is a gentle, yet evocative, implication with your employment of the word "whispers." And your presentation streams like a feather over one's jaded soul... Just beautiful!
Have a wonderful week!

Oh, Diane - thank you!! Your comments and those lovely stars are certainly a bright spot to all the gray that seems to hover around here these days...ugh (make it go away!!). :) ;) Seriously, though, we do all need a place of shelter from the comments and the harshness that life can be sometimes and even if that's just silence and another's breathing, that's good, too. :) :) Thanx again, my lady -- and may sunshine and solace find you this week up there (especially the sunshine!)! ;) Yvette

I love the artwork you choose to go with your poem, they are a perfect match. Your words are few yet the message had a huge calmness to it. Yes we all need a quite time alone some time.

Sometimes we all need that gentle touch to our body, soul and/or spirit; this poem concerns our inner life. It's a beautiful image, the caressing of a soul by these silken whispers. They can even bring refreshment to a "jaded soul." It makes me think of Psalm 23: He makes me lie down in green pastures... leads me beside still waters... restores my soul. The silken whispers are loving ones. Well done -- beautiful words! And the image is the perfect illustration.

You're very welcome. And I'm so glad it's "Murmurations of the Heart" and not "Heart Murmurs." I went to the doctor this week, and since my regular primary doctor was booked solid, I saw one of her associates. She listened to my heart and said, "You have a heart murmur, right?" I said, "I DO?" So she listened again and said to never mind, it was my breathing. Way to make a person panic! I don't need any additional medical problems. I would rather enjoy calming poetry, like yours :-)
Thank you for your kind wishes, and may God bless you.

The use of the sibilant 's' throughout the poem is effective in conveying a gentle mood which suits the subject of the poem - solace for the soul. The painting of the feather complements the lightness of the poem. the painting and the poem capture a feeling of peace. Than you for sharing.

Rich in Theme and Imagery.
It read well and flowed well with no Grammar Issues.

The Adjective and Objective Contents were both Excellent and Exceptional while Descriptive Measures aligned Perfectly and good luck with this.

Gentle 's' alliteration with 'silken,' 'spirit,' 'solace,' and 'soul.' Keeping things quieter can definitely help rejuvenate the person who might feel life gets too loud and fast-paced, a common, everyday feeling all right (and understandably so in a school setting). Quite the feather closeup on that art. Nice post.
