Glad it's not autobiographical; lovely sonnet in down to earth vocabulary reflecting a sad and beautiful story of love in excellent rhymes. Thanks for sharing and good luck!

In my opinion, a plaintive write of love won and lost - easy and fluid rhyme, with just a couple of uneven spots, easily corrected by reading aloud several times, to retain the sing/song effect of rhyming poetry...

The language here is very contemporary and honest and natural, and I think its refreshing and up to date. The framework is correct, the meter is soft and a bit sad, and the rhymes kind of echo like footsteps in empty rooms. I like this image of the wintery day, the snowflakes falling, that seem to symbolize the feeling of lost love, of a love gone cold. estory

This is a poem of mourning a marriage that has broken, it seems through divorce. It is sad because this person definitely still loves and misses her spouse. It could also be mourning a dead spouse.
Good luck and keep writing

This is a very sweet write. Although so full of pain and wistfulness. Still this is a human story. In fact how many in this world when the night come have to go to the wedding bed alone. Heartbreak, is not it. A big sigh!

"Starry Skies", is an extremely well-written and thought-provoking piece. The description is deftly executed. It was a pleasure to both read and review a work of this standard. I look forward to seeing your next post.

A lovely metered poem in sonnet form! Thanks for sharing. I love that you let your muse direct how the poem should go and what story it would tell. It's realistic that someone mourning a lost love could feel exactly this way.
