Very interesting words
that tell us so much
of the gifts life can bring to us
to enjoy while we can everyday.

Humorous in construction, this work captures the swim suit flaw capturing unwanted sand, deposits storing in unmentionable places. A good creative conceptions.

Hahahaha! G'day again, mate.
Sorry I don't have a six left. This is a crack up of a tiny poem.
As you are most likely aware... all of my poetry is 400-550 words... so to say as much as you have here is brilliant. It would have taken me 400-550 words to say the same thing.
Great job.
Cheers Fez

Ahhhh SisCat: Here is another great piece from you that I truly appreciate and agree with. Yet this great poem is serenaded by this great song. I do know this great performer and song as they are both very prominent. (the song and the Singer. He was one of the Greats though. It escapes me though because I am still shaking off my wake up from an extremely long, long Sunday.
I do know about the love on the beach, leaving sand in the wrong places and yes, OUCH! You are awesome and this post is wonderfully awesome. It gave me a big smile. Thank you as usual for this great piece and for this big early morning smile.

Thank you, Tier, for your touching review. I am glad my poem made you smile early in the morning.
Frank Sinatra sang "I've Got You Under My Skin" and also starred in "From Here to Eternity" in which he won a supporting best actor Oscar.
Thank you for your kind, supportive words.

Well, I have to say that this made me smile--not easy to do at 2:44 in the morning. I lived fourteen and a half years of my adult life in Miami, Florida, where I was young and bikini-clad quite often at the beaches. So I truly know of what you speak--I mean write. Thanks for a cheerful read and for jogging my memory banks. ;) Margaret

This is so what the beach is about, and what a well thought up piece.
Totally love it. The picture only adds to your lines in the feeling that comes through. Well done.

This is too too funny. How to take romance out of the moment. Excellent use of alliteration (love, leave; summer, sand)assonance (beach, leaves) and onomatopoeia in the last line. Love the reference to Sinatra's song in the author's notes.)

Oh, thank you, Spitfire, for your review which provided the nitty gritty details on my poem. I wanted a poem that got under the reviewer's skin and have achieved it. Thanks.
Comment from Marykelly
There is a humor here that is hard to achieve in the confines of a haiku, but in this short poem you have said much and created smiles.

Ah, yes! The pragmatist points out the obvious--all that summer beach lovin' on the beach comes with a price! (Nothing like rolling about on sandpaper!)
Perfect song to accompany the work!
