This is a well executed entry with spot on line and syllable count. The imagery is subtle, yet haunting in delivery. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.

Mystery poet, spot on with your syllable count for this 5 7 5 for the romance 575 contest. This is a sad one. He didn't stick around. This romance didn't last

It is a beautiful flower of goodbye. I hope he left memories as good as this flower. Or is the fleeting scent as fleeting as his feeling.
Good luck in the contest.

By my count this is a true five/seven/five, and is definitely about romance, which
comes and goes at short intervals in this twenty-first century. Excellent.

OH! I was NOT expecting that final line! Verrrry good - such creative (though sorrowful) thinking. It's often the best frame of mind for writing romance, I think, although the POM this month shows how beautiful the opposite can be too.
Regardless, this is wonderful - best of luck!

Funny how the strong scent of something can bind us to an irreplacable memory...even if it only lasts 5 days, hell if it was 5 seconds...if it was worth savouring, you would remember.
You just DO not ever know LOL
Nicely written and I liked the lingering anticipation albeit only for 5 days. That IS 120 hours, you know LOL...sounds longer that way haha
Cheers P

Our short little romances in life sometimes color us in sadness yet we know that it was not meant to be. I love the way the three lines connect and activate the story line
