I am enjoying reading as you make preparations for the big showdown, Jay. The effects of the cruelty in this one was quite moving, I felt sick about Corl's injuries! As always, looking forward to more, Giddy

Thank you, Giddy. Yes, I tried to portray Corl as a very lovable, loving person who was an artist with his craft. I'm thinking a lot of people will be emotionally affected by his injuries. I don't tell you enough how grateful I am for being so loyal to my story.

BJ, thanks so much for the six stars and the kind words. Yeah, it's hard to be a good tailor with broken body parts.

Listing the characters and giving a background helps every much. It keeps the readers in tune on what's going on. You write very well. I always stopping by. I am never disappointed.

Great stuff. The dialogue flow really well, and even in this one chapter I get a feel for the characters. I guess a review should have some ideas to improve the work, but what improvement? It's all as it should be. In case I don't get back to further eps though I'll say one thing, it must be more than war. The build up here is great and I'll bet you have some great battles up your sleeve, but for more maybe bang in some romance, some philosophy, cosmology, comedy, hell even a sunset. Maybe skip the sunset. Hemingway never described a sunset. Just a selection of the great themes left us by the Greeks will do just nicely.
Write on. :)

Thank you so much, Neil. Glad to have you stop by and take a gander at my novel. It's been going on for some time, so I wouldn't even try to understand it contextually. I'm just please you seem to enjoy the voice.

Taking the story forward, and smoothly. I read it through without seeing a single nit. Remember the Grimm fairy tale about the brave little tailor who
gained great renown for slaying seven at one blow? (flies) Maybe that's Corl. The careful writing maintains its quality.

Nothing Grimm about Corl, though. He's a frightened little guy whose will and body can be broken at any moment. Thanks, Red. I always look forward to your input--especially your references.
