This poem is brilliant (a word I use a lot about your work) in its beauty and savagery regarding having, holding and keeping the faith. Johnny's heart for the lord is meticulously expressive and proves once again that good triumphs evil every time.
A powerful poem. Your rhyming is complex and reads like a story you can't put down. This deserves a six but I don't have any, so a five will have to do.

Well, I don't know about brilliance, Muffins, but I'm really glad you think so, LOL.
Thanks for the positive feedback. I's much appreciated!

This is quite a tour de force and great pictures. I really like the song 'The devil went DOWN to Georgia' - This reminded me of that song - and reading your author notes I'm sure Charlie Daniels would think it great. CD did not write or play the first version of this song - I love it. Regards Dorothy

Thanks, Andrew, I really appreciate that! While there are a few that don't agree with you, at least you think so, and that's enough for me!
I sincerely appreciate your positive feedback, my friend. Take care.

Yes, of course, I had my guitar out singing this!!! Awesome piece. I won't be surprised if I hear this on the radio. Great follow up, every bit the quality of the original. Perhaps a bit better to be honest. But, you did have some inspiration going in. You never cease to amaze! Mikey

You did an excellent job with your rendition of Charlie Daniels song. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

did you read my story is it to bland?

I did read it, CRW. I thought it was very good, and has humor in it too. I enjoyed it, but I'm waiting until the contest actually begins to do reviews.

Hey, no problem I do not expect to win I just wanted your approval it was ok for a horror story. There are better writers with more experience at this stuff than I. I consider myself the new kid on the block when it comes to this genere
