Bobby has beaten Anna almost to death. The only way they could stop him was to shoot him. He never would have stopped harassing Anna. I hope that Anna survives in spite of everything that Bobby did to her. She deserves a second life free of Bobby.

This is an excellent chapter. I enjoyed reading it and found nothing to criticize. Anna is hurt bad, but Bobby's next victims will be in Hell.

This is very well written. I felt the emotion of the waiting room, waiting to hear about Anna. I also was a victim of being abused. Everyone should seek help while they have the chance to do so.

At last I have some 6-star ratings! It's difficult with a novel because everything works together, so I hope this 6 will be considered for over-all achievement and not a specific chapter. I like the way you have law enforcement working together so smoothly to finally stop Bobby. It sounds like they weren't any to soon, judging from Anna's condition when they finally get to her. You've shown good vs. evil, with good winning out--that is, if Anna recovers. You've created a lot of tension over her condition once she's taken to the hospital. Really excellent, and we're pulling for Anna! Very realistic presentation. judi

The good news is that Bobby will never threaten or beat Anna again. The bad news tha the poor woman faces a long and difficult road to physical and mental recovery.
I certainly understand the havoc an abusive spouse can cause. I spent my high school years living in constant fear of my second stepfather. Looking back, I think I feared more for my mother than myseld. His death brought an overwhelming re leif, but it took thirty-one years to recover and remove my anger toward the evil man.
In recent years, I learned that his first two wives dissappeared. Was he a serial killer? I don't know, but I do know that he had respect for human life.
Ironically my first stepfather was a total saint who never raided his voice to me. He tripped in the barnyard and ruptured his spleen which led to his death, Imagine the impact I felt from Anna's ruptured spleen.
Another six-star post, but I can only send you love and Irish Hugs, as I wait to hear abour Anna'strauma.
