This is a charming story that made me smile. I, too, have melted a few plastic containers in my time. The only changes I saw that need made are a few grammatical, punctuation errors. Thanks for sharing this cure tale. Dee

Lovely and fun story. Using the oven for storage. I like your self-deprecatory way of telling the story and the adventures of a newly-wed.

I found this quite humorous at your expense, i'm sorry. I was entertained and kept reading hoping things would get better for you as your marriage progressed. Great job with the descriptive terms used throughout and being able to share.

Thank you for your review and comment. Enough time has passed that we can laugh about it now. My husband told me to quit writing about things at his expense. LOL

This was definitely a haphazard way to start a marriage but I am sure it made you closer as a couple we all have mishaps like this at the beginning some more trivial than others I enjoyed this story well done regards Fuller

Thanks Fuller, After all these year, we can laugh but it wasn't so funny at the time.

Wonderful! I love it.

Sometimes we find life's true experiences more funny that those we create.

This is well written and had a wonderful flow to it, that kept the reader interested. Good job!

Thank you for reviewing and commenting. I'd rather write about the things that happened to me than make something up.

My word you were a young woman totally ignorant of even the most simplest of household tasks. Your husband must have been a real treasure to put up with with someone lacking basic skills. But it seems both of you have survived. I cannot believe that someone would put a plastic container into the oven. Thank for sharing those foolish years. Blessings Albert.

Thank you Albert, He pulled plenty of stupid stuff himself but he's tired of seeing his episodes in print. LOL.

you write with humor and with great observation of human nature - this is an enjoyable memoir but also insightful Brooke

Brooke, Thanks, My husband told me to stop making him the scapegoat in everything I write so I thought I'd admit to some of my stupid behavior.

Hullo BethShelby ....

Oh dear .... this certainly makes for sad reading but, no doubt, you are not alone in being ill-prepared for
the various requirements of keeping house and married life.
I have given you 4 stars because, throughout this work, you need to work on your punctuation, especially the use and mis-use of commas.
If you choose to work on this, contact me and I will gladly re-review it for you.
All round - I enjoyed reading what you have written, especially the way the basic ingredients for your planned and unplanned meals came from tin-cans. That reminds me of a young newly-wed who waited at the gate one day to meet her new husband saying ... "We have to dine out tonight, dear. The tin-opener is broken."
Thank you for sharing this with us.
With love from .... Nanette Mary.

Thank you Nanette Mary, It's been a while since I've written. I used have my punctuation down but I think I've forgetten it all. I was ill prepared but I've had a lot of years to make up for it.

You have captivated your reader by style, and the flowing of your words, turned into something I could see, rather than just reading. I could smell the plastic burning, and see
how difficult ones' journey can be. Worthwhile read, I loved the humor also. Again, I was right there every step of the way.
