Too much pondering of how corrupt our leaders have become. Imagined how wonderful it could be if we had at least 25% more trust in them. Isn't that a pathetic statement in itself. Thanks for your review, Jude.

Your reference to separating the chaff from the wheat with its Biblical implications is quite nice here - I like how you define trust as transcending contracts, which are basically written because people do NOT trust each other. With trust we know the miller is not cheating us - an excellent poem for this contest. Brooke

Yes, comes from John the Baptist (I'm sure you know that!). How nice would it be to just know the bullshit chaff was already sifted in so many scenarios. Never a 100% perfect world, but would be nice for "character" to come back in fashion!! Thanks for your great review, Brooke. Sue :-00
