I like the style of this poem, and I like the theme also. Very philosophical and enduring because we all search for that great contentment all our lives.

I loved this and appreciated the explanation of the poetic form.
Your illustration was perfect and your color choices were brilliant.
I do have a question, not at all a criticism of your work, but genuine curiousity. Could you add an s to live so that it reads "That lives with us until we die" without interrupting your form?
Wonderful work! LL

So glad you brought that up. Are you sure about that? Cuz, now I'm not. Grammatically here, is live(s) referring to fulfillment (singular) or needs (plural)? HELP!! :-))
-
LL, Just wanted to thank you for bringing this up. I changed it to plural (lives). I'm "slow". Ha! Really appreciate it. Sue

You're certainly welcome. I thought it was exceptionally insightful.

Another really good poem. Again I don't get the artwork, but the poem is open to my mind and I can grasp that concept. Great job.

The painting is just a simple "expressionist form" showing a woman and man. To me, it felt like the poem, in that we do need a human touch, love and intimacy. Thanks for your very kind review. Always appreciated, Sue

Knew of the famous sequence, but not of the poetic form. Thanks for sharing! You speak of the mysteries of life, explained differently by different schools, but within all of us nonetheless. Good job! :)

Sue - you come up with the most amazing facts to go with your poetry. I'm continually amazed. Loved this format and the words you used to fill it.

Sherry, so glad you like my notes. I love sharing tidbits of cool, not-your-everyday-stuff! Ha! I love learning them every day, also. So glad you enjoyed this. Thanks for your great review. Sue :-))

You certainly hit the nail on the head with this one. We come into the world with a needful cry and carry the need to be cared for all of our lives - even unto death. Excellent imagery in a very few words expressing basic human desire. Blessings, Linda

I love the poem, but really love the structure and style of this poem... your author notes were interesting and necessary, to get the full enjoyment.
This is a style we could use in a contest.
Very well done.

Hi Skye, yes, maybe a contest would be good. Perhaps I'll sponsor one in the near future. Good idea. Thanks very much for your kind review. With regards, Sue

This was a great poem. I love the idea of a yearning for a fullfilment of needs. Well done. I appreciate the notes on the fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio. It is very informative. I have read about both. Very nicely done- Sam

It's hard to keep up with all these different genres:).
Very well put, SK! We sure are 'needy' people; and created to be that way, too. It's a wonderful thing:). Thanks so much for sharing this new form with us - might make a great contest. Take care,
Heather

great author notes! excellent presentation; well written; more than "general poetry" not a thing to correct; profound capture of your perspective on the essence of life.

You are very welcome, I enjoy learning but don't always have time to look things up, so the history is much appreciated (even if it rings a bell from some class or another lol) Blessings, Tricia

Yeah...the bell's echoes do fade over time! HA!
