Sue,
This is ever so endearing and so relatable to all mothers.
I love this stanza:
How precious was each crayon line
On hand-made cards to show their love
With misspelled words like Valintine
And "Yur the best Mom from abuv"
It reminds me when I used to made hand-made cards for my mom.
This poem is so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes.
Thank you for invoking nostalgic memories.

Greatest compliment of all for one's work is to move the reader and such joy it brought me to see it brought back fond memories for you. When we made those cards, didn't we EVER put our hearts into them and couldn't wait for Mom to read them and be so happy! Thank you for such a lovely review, Poetic Friend. Goes to my heart. Sue

They grow up so fast! I don't have kids, but I have three nieces, and when the oldest (now 7) was really small, she would say the sweetest things in her halting, baby-English. Those are the moments to treasure. Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem with us.

You make me want to seize the moment with my two (11 & 9) before I blink and it's gone. So true, already I miss those preschool years and we're entering puberty...the second half goes quicker it seems. This is a great poem with tight rhyme that made me feel. Thanks. :)

Yes, it goes so fast. Sometimes, when we feel overwhelmed, we think....when they get older, I'll enjoy them more. You do, but in a different way. But those precious years of their youth is something that will stay with you forever. And we do long for them at times. Not often, but when we do, it's hard to describe. I guess, simply put: I want my babies back! HA! Thanks so much for your great review and compliments. With regards, Sue
