Clever Sue, very clever friend! Has got to be a contender for sure, two sentences, two stories entwined heaven then Hell. There is a graveyard full of such relationships, sad[very] but unfortunately true. Good Luck!

There is no answer. It can be only one of two ways, I don't know why it just all goes wrong sometimes. You said it all in so few words. Good read. joan marie

Joan Marie, I do not know what people are looking for. It's right under their noses, yet they continue to sabotage all that is THE BEST. No answer to the "why

So many wrongs to right. But God gave us the ability to make choices. Too many make the wrong ones. Some of us are pulled up and saved to live a better life. jm

Both 2 sentences are true. Our families are falling apart. Try as I might, mine fell apart. I tried but my husband would not. Why? How? There is no answer. It is over. There is no going back. Everyone needs a home and a wife, or husband, and children. Why? Because we are people and people need people.

Same here. Had it all and more. Nothing else to want for in this world. Pffft! Gone. Why? Don't know. I didn't have to suffer abuse (thank God), but there are families suffering that right now as we speak and I can't think about it. The fear in children, knowing the instability of it all. And they grow up asking, "Why?" Thank you for sharing your story. And for your review. With regards, Sue

I have found I am much happier without him. I don't have to walk on eggshells all the time. With him he was so critical and he abused me emotionally all the time. Now I have time for myself and I don't have to worry about what he "thinks". I can go places and do what I want. It really is nice. I can even have my own mother over and she can call when she wants. It really has its advantages. And you know what? I don't miss him at all. I bring in the bacon and I spend it how I want and pay my bills and spend it how I want too. It is really great to tell you the truth. I have never, never been happier. The divorce should be finally in March and I can't wait.

The art choice is definitly suiting for this piece. The appearance of a once happy family split in real life. I love it!

How many families have that happy face, yet behind closed doors, there is havoc? Shockingly, too many. Thank you for your great review and comments! Much appreciated...Sue

Wow! Super job, Sixteezkid! I think you captured the intent of the contest perfectly. You've show the two opposite ends of the spectrum. The very best of luck in the contest. It's terrific.

Parents, children, home. Everything one needs.
Abuse, neglect, betrayal, divorce, sadness. Why?
This has to be difficult and you excelled, here. Great job.

Fred, it defies logic. We are born to grow up and have a family and nurture them. Instead, so many suffer from within their own home. Beyond sad. Thank you so much for your review. As always, it is very much appreciated...Sue

Sue,
A terrific contest entry, Sue. Twelve great words and it should be a contest winner, I'm betting. The words you chose certainly fit the contest rules as well as any I've seen so far, my friend. Good luck.

Hi Reggie. So kind of you to make those comments. I'm reading your story slow, but now up to Sam going up to the Doc's to tell him what happened to his parents. (I've read a lot of story writers here, but "shhhhh..." you got the goods, my man.) Seamless. Great dialogue. Never mind. Will brag about it when I finish and review! Take care, Reg :-)) Sue

Yes, two separate worlds, as it may seem. Thanks very much for your review! Sue
