Kimbob, you are one of the joys of FanStory! I love your poetry, I enjoy hearing about your walks through the woods and your love of nature, and I'm hoping you celebrate this birthday with your beloved family and that they spoil you rotten with gifts and love.

Happy No-Birthday to a great guy!

Thanks, Debi. Kimbob is so worthy of one of your poems.

xo

Hi Pammy, hehe! I can see him calling you that. What a character he is but one of the true good guys.

So only a few days away and are you absolutely sure you don't want a poem? I know the answer and you know I feel the same way, but I don't think I will be flying under the radar according to a few friends who wouldn't take no for an answer. So I am going to embrace it, especially since my mother never had the luxury to make it even close.

How would you like to join me for a birthday drink sometime that day? We can email each other and toast to our being birthday twins.

I have some exciting news about being used in an experimental program to try to get my sight back. It is a drug called oxavert or something like that. I am only the third one they will have used it on in the Twin Cities area.
The first ones sight was restored 100%. However, it is a $100,000.drug and they have to work with the pharmaceutical company to get the price down.. So get this, it is an eye drop and is listed as one of the most expensive drugs on the market. But it just may restore my eye back without the cornea transplant.

I appreciate your kind review and comments for Kimbob and his poem. He will also appreciate your sweet comments.
Thank you for making my day, my dear friend. Love, Debi

Debi, the news on the drug is promising, but it's new and experimental and extremely expensive, so who knows what kind of success you will have. Are you completely blind in the one eye? And they believe Covid caused this?

Keep me posted one way or the other. You are lucky to be near Mayo Clinic, probably the best medical center in the world. Are your doctors there, or closer to home?

Still NO on the birthday poem. Sorry, I'd just prefer to fly under the radar this year. Plus, as I said, I've had two poems and someone else should get one instead of me.

Do I have your phone number? Mine is 860-878-7636. Send me a picture of your "birthday toast" to my cell phone, and I'll do the same. I am out all day on Saturday: walk with friends, writing class at Flagler College, lunch then off to a 90-minute massage, pick Jim up and go downtown to do a little shopping in their quaint shops, a martini at the Tini Martini Bar, then home for Jim's steaks on the grill. Whew! I should sleep well that night!

What are you up to? Or is it a surprise your family is putting together for you?

    Text me a picture:-)

    xo

My family is taking me to a fancy seafood place and I will enjoy lobster. I think I'd rather be with you. I will have my margarita. My number is 612-518-4785

Hi Santha, I appreciate your kind review and comments for Kimbob and his poem. The 39th birthday is something here in America as a joke. There was a guy named Jack Benny on television when I was a kid who always talked about staying 39. Every birthday, he claimed to be 39. So that is kinda what Kimbob is doing is saying he has been 39 for 36 years. In other words he is now 75. I hope I explained that right. It is just all in fun.

He will also appreciate your sweet comments.
Thank you for making my day, my dear friend. Love, Debi

Hi Debi, I don't know Kimbob but... Happy NO Birthday Kimbob! What a clever way to introduce other members of our family to the newbies. I look forward to reading Kimbob's posts and of course yours as well.

Hi Kahlani, I do these poems for anyone who wants one. All you have to do is let me know your birthday and I contact you right before then and then you just give me what you want to share and I will put it into a birthday biographical poem for you.

I feel that God sent me here to make a difference and to spread joy. But you are right, people will get to know you better and even fan you when they hear about you through your poem. It helps to get more reviews too then. At least that is what they tell me. It truly gives me a good feeling to do them. So let me know if you are interested ..

I appreciate your kind review and comments for Kimbob and his poem. He will also appreciate your sweet comments.

Hi Debi, That's a wonderful idea. I had my birthday last month, but would love one for next year. I actually write poems for my students at the end of the year. It makes me feel good but I also want my students to know that they are special to me. I find the standard comments don't convey the achievements and efforts they have put in all year but poetry does.

Hi Helen, do you remember Jack Benny? He always used to say he was 39 and that is where he stayed. So where I wrote in the poem that 36 times Kimbob was 39, I changed the next one to say, "Jack Benny never got as many years from that old line." LOL.

Thanks for all your very kind words for Kimbob and his poem. I sure appreciate it. Thanks again my sweet sis and friend.
    Love ya, Debi.

Giggling here. Kimbob's my kind of "no birthday" human. If I stop counting, I get to pick whatever age I want... I'd say I was dyslexic but that would make me "07" --- and that's my INNER child's age! Adorable poem, with your trademark meter and rhyme...

Do not twist MY arm this year! I'm seriously flying under the radar...but good for Kimbob for being a good sport...

(grin)

Haha, no I didn't twist his arm at all. He and I decided we were going to do this a while ago. It happened when we were joking around in emails and I asked if he was going to have another one. Some people are fun to do the repeated poems. And he wanted this one to be about the fact that he doesn't celebrate. But he wanted it to be funny. So do you remember Jack Benny? I just thought about him this afternoon.

This is so good. Your rhyming is sensational and your choice of accompanying songs almost as good. Have you ever disclosed your birthdate so that we less talented poets could pen a tribute for you. I think that would make a great contest. What would rhyme with Marquette. Would you care to put that to the test?

Awe, Bob, you are so sweet. Well it's on my profile so I might as well just tell you that it is October 19th. But I might be a little scared after I read your fart poem, LOL Thanks so much for the kindest comments and the songs are always ones the birthday person picks. I also thank you for your six stars.
Thanks again, my awesome friend. Love, Debi

So that only give me four days. Some questions. How many kids? Do you have any hobbies? Your job? Hubby's and kid's name? Name of town or suburb where you live? Please make it easy. Your state? Hobbies etc. And anything else that might make for an easy rhyme. Remember, I'm male, so don't make it too hard. Lastly, what sort of car do you drive? Thanks.

Happy no-birthday, Kimbob!
You're not getting older...you're just getting better! :-)

Great tribute Debi. And I love how you drag it out of even the very reluctant! (As if he ever stood a chance...)

Thanks for sharing,
Julie

Ive heard the name but he's definitely before my time. It's funny, for years I said I was 29. When my oldest turned 29, she said "Mom, you gotta stop!" :-)

Oh my Iza, did you get any of my PMs? I tried to get a hold of you a bunch of times in early Sept so I didn't forget you and was going to ask when I saw you were back. So YES, I would be delighted to do a 49th for you. Please send me a little info and some song choices by either my email, debipm@icloud.com or PM. It is so good to have you back. I will do it yet this week. Ok? After I get your info then it will be within two days. Thanks Sweetie and for the six stars for Kimbob's poem. You are a gem.

Hahaha. Are you going to be around if I have any questions? It will be yet this week for sure. Nobody will even know that it is not your birthday. And besides it is just a few weeks. I do those all the time.

Hi Honey, I am done with your birthday poem but need you to check your pm messages as I had a couple questions in there. And I want to make sure when I release that you will be right there to read it and tell me by pm if it is ok. Otherwise I hold my breath until I hear from the birthday person.
So if you are ready for tomorrow afternoon, let me know if you are going to be around to check on it.

Happy 39th birthday Kimbob! Thank goodness all that cold air keeps your skin from aging. I hope you have a wonderful non-birthday! Eat plenty of that non-fattening, non-brthday cake.

This is adorable, Debi, and told with so much obvious joy and affection. Your rhymes work beautifully, and your natural sense of humor shines through in so many places. While there are a few times where the rhythm is a tiny bit off, reading it still brought a huge smile to my face. I'm sure he'll appreciate this lovely non-birthday poem.

Yeah, writing these are a lot different with so much info to get in the right places and make sense. It is not like my other poems where I can make it up as I go. The biographical is a lot harder to keep it smooth but I do try so your sweet words mean a lot to me.

And thanks for all your wishes for Kimbob.
