I love the pouty-faced fish in the illustration, and I enjoyed reading your take on life in this well-written and beautifully presented fifteen-syllable poem. Having discussed these issues with you before, I know you already know I don't quite agree, but how well you write from your own perspective leaves no doubt you are a skillful and thoughtful writer, and I greatly respect that. For me, a relationship with God gives life a deeper, richer meaning and also so much hope that stretches beyond this earthly life. But... even if it turns out I'm wrong about eternal life, knowing God while in this life adds a dimension, a beauty and a joy I wouldn't want to miss... something for which I am deeply grateful. Many hugs to you and the ponies, alpacas, sheep, goats and cats. I thought of you yesterday as I was having dinner with my great niece who is currently a resident of Tasmania. She and her fiance were visiting California. She truly loves it there. I don't blame her. I wish you could meet her someday. ;p

Thanks for the lovely, thoughtful review, Adonna.
We all find beauty, meaning and joy in different ways, and different things; and some of us really don't cling to a hope we shall exist forever. Your great niece is lucky - I've been to Tasmania several times, and it really is a paradise. Care to share what town she is near? Maybe one day our paths will cross ;-)
Stay safe, well, and above all, happy.

Well, hello, Mr Richards. Fancy bumping into you.
Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at 900 miles an hour.
It's orbiting at 19 miles a second, so it's reckoned,
The sun that is the source of all our power....
Clever you to spot the 5,4,3,2,1 sequence adds up to 15, giving a nice shape to your poem and the allusions add depth to the necessarily brief words.
Good luck.

And pray that there's intelligent life
Somewhere out in space
'Cuz there's bugger all
Down here on Earth
Thanks for a fun review and the kind wishes, Mr Herbert.

Well I think this is a lovely inspiring message, Craig, to get on with life before it's too late. Time is precious as your dwindling and fading text would suggest. And those two fish are certainly willing some action. I promise I'll be more active tomorrow (despite the weather!) Great poem! Good luck! Debbie
