Well, my friend, I understand about Amazon and the books. I have been trying for months (no exaggeration) to get some of my ebooks published. I finally said, "to He-- with it," and stopped trying. I will keep a look out for that yellow cover. Have a great evening. Shirley

You are definitely a brave soul. I have yet to try anything with self-publishing other than making fewer than two dozen copies twenty years ago at Kinko's/FedEx. So this was an extremely informative re-telling of your ups and downs, smiles and frowns with your more recent efforts. Thank you for taking the time to explain things so that we less-experienced writers can study things out as well. Hilarious ending paragraph, by the way.

You are definitely a brave soul. I have yet to try anything with self-publishing other than making fewer than two dozen copies twenty years ago at Kinko's/FedEx. Awwwww, thank you, Crystie. I really should have explained that there are others who can only shake their heads at my inability to get my paperbacks published there. I am a putz when it comes to techy stuff. So, anyway, remember the yellow book cover!

I do agree with you on that, Jesse, but there is one person here who makes a small but regular income from the sale of her books without any promoting or having a website. Anyway, be on the lookout for the Yellow Book Cover, LOL.

She must be the exception rather than the rule. Most self-published books go nowhere.
