I liked: fiirst ever newsletter (me 46 you 1 - conclusion you do not progress as you write more), still alive (you 1 me 0 - friends and relatives like to hear this, I think I hid my failure well), health (you win hands down, you are much more concientious than me. You are my 5th reminder I really should have taken care of my latest Covid booster), FS (1 all, different perceptions on who's useful and/or active are allowed). Fun letter. Kate xx

Very effective tongue-in-cheek letter. Most families have someone who insists on covering their often boring lives with a blow by blow account as if they were re-writing 'War and Peace'. This is an much more amusing version than usual and enjoyable to read!

You are so funny!! I know Lee will love this piece, too. I learned a lot from him, especially dialect. I had to laugh at the amount of shots you had, and I asked my hubby how many I had, he said I beat you with my vodka! Lol. I'll have to keep an eye on it. No I won't. Oh, how I wish! There is a place called Delia's over there. I ordered once but they charge an arm and a leg for shipping. I tried to make them last year, but the dough would not float! Maybe I will try again this year. But I sure do miss my mother's tamales.
