Very interesting. You do have to get used to the dialect without smiling at it. A well written first chapter. I can see this grabbing the attention of many members.

Now, with a look of sheer determination, she yanked it as hard as she could.

I love it and can't wait for more. I enjoyed visiting with old friends again. I was just looking at the original book 'Beyond That Time' a few days ago and going to reread. isn't this first chapter contest deadline in September? Oh well, I really enjoyed reading and good luck.

HI Barbara, yes, I didn't notice that the last one has just finished and that I'd entered the September one! I might do what you're doing, but it depends on if I can keep up with the reviewing.
