You dear woman, this is heartfelt and lovely - and just what Christmas is all about...that small seed within that when warmed and cherished brings a love for all mankind. May you have the blessings of our Loving Lord in your heart. This is a wonderful entry for the contest and I wish you good luck!

Very beautifully written, spoken, and the warmth touched my heart. I needed a little extra touch of joy today and I thank you, Diane, for providing it. Very well done.

Hi Diane, this was such a lovely Christmas poem about a season so many cherish. There is something magical about it, a feeling I only get shortly before Christmas, I will admit. The best of luck in the contest. Ulla:)))

Thank you this one, Diane. With all my grandchildren to make me happy, I still need to have my Christmas spirit kindled this year. The seed is there, waiting I suppose. I like that image. I could care less about the gifts at Christmas. To me, it is about parties, family, and church. Those are things that give me joy. I think that you captured all that in your poem.
Happy holidays to you as well.

    Good Morning, dear Debbie!
I know just what you mean about the gifts: knowing my family is happy and well are truly the only gifts I need. (But I did see two Winterberry bushes yesterday that might need to come home with me next Spring!) :)
I have noticed, on my trips out and about in Traverse City lately, that folks are so hungry for even a simple smile or gesture of caring. I surely do my best to offer what I can... and sometimes, especially for the workers at outdoor nurseries, I bring them doughnuts or knit them hats! Ho Ho Ho!!!!
Happiest of holidays to you and yours, Debbie!

When do you have time to knit? Lordy what you accomplish with your creativity.

Strong rhymes used throughout this thoughtful Christmas poem include eyes and skies as well as souls and goals. Captures the essence of the season well. Believe the last line answers the question of the first line.

There's something about Christmas that sets it apart, and yet, it is something that should be played out all the year around. But you've said all this in such classic elegant style that leaves that great touch and memory. Well done Diane, beautifully written, blessings
