Fabulous job Senyai.
This would make an awesome haiku.
I especially live your last line...
"damp earth smells of musk"
The imagery in this is awesome as well. I can almost see and smell your words.
Great entry and good luck!

Hi Katiemae,
Oh, it is a haiku I think, LOL. Well, when the contest says 5-7-5 does that mean a haiku or senryu - your choice? ?or something else nit bound by anything except syllable count?Hi
Any way, thank you for such an uplifting encouraging review and comments.
They made my evening! Thank you.
Have a good week, my friend :))

How well you capture the essence of Van Gough's famous painting. Your connection between the flurry of flight and the smell of the damp earth achieves a visceral feel. Very nicely done. How much you have said in these few words.

Hi Tony,
Thank you so much! I am glad you picked up on all the points I intended to convey with Van Gogh?s painting. One of my favorites of his for sure.
You made my evening, Tony, so thank you again!
Have a good week,

I have not seen that picture in a long time. Your words plus the picture pair perfectly. Great job with the correct syllable count per line. I enjoyed reading your entry as well as the notes.
Best wishes.

Hi Jan,
Thanks! Yes, I love Van Gogh and this is such an expressive picture it drew out strong emotion especially since he painted it some time near his death.
Thank you for a lovely review, Jan :))
Have a good week,
