Hello Fonda, this is a powerful piece of work, well written with some good rhyme. It certainly tells the reader the strength of your faith and it is a splendid entry to the contest. A good final stanza rounds up your well written poem -

I thought it was a great poem of praise, very upbeat, very uplifting, really very Psalm like. You created some great rhythms in these short lines, and some great echoing rhyme effects that gave it a ring like churchbells. The focus is on Christ, on his redemption of our souls, and the new life we have been given through him. The world and its temptations, its maze of thorns, seems to fall away into insignificance. Nice job with this one and God bless estory

A very beautiful poem about faith for the contest. Very beautiful words I remember going to Sunday school we used to sing the joy of the lord is my strength. My god is so big so strong and so mighty there's nothing my god cannot do. Your poem gave me a flashback of when I was a little girl in Sunday school. Very beautiful photo to go with your words.

Your poem is full of worship and deep emotion which the reader can connect with.
You made some good rhymes at the end of sentences.
Next try to work on the "beat" of the lines.
I find it helps to listen to songs with a good beat and then try to arrange your words so you can hear a similar pleasant beat.
Stay strong.
