This is such sad news and your posting is like a candle's flame in a room of despair. I cannot imagine the level of sorrow when one's child is suddenly gone...no matter what age they happen to be, they are still embedded in your heart along with so many cherished memories. I am sure your kind words are very consoling for Yvonne at this difficult time. Prayers and love, Janet

Hi Janet! I'm sorry to share such sad news. Exactly, no matter how old our children are, we are never prepared to lose a child. Thank you for reviewing and for your prayers, Janet! Hugs!!

Hello Helen.
I am so very sorry to hear about Yvonne's son. Thank you for this post. I also want to compliment your poem and in particular, the second stanza. She mentioned her son to me several times.

I can't think of anything more devastating to a parent than the loss of a child. Your words that only God can mend the spirit are so true. Yvonne will appreciate your prayers to give her comfort and support. This is beautifully worded and strikes just the right tone. By the way, thanks for your gift of the member cent. Much appreciated. I think I erased that message by mistake. judi

I agree - there's nothing more heart-wrenching than losing one's child. Thanks for reviewing, Judi!
I totally understand about the accidental deletion - it's happened to me, too. It was a virtual six from me! 💖

You're welcome. I'm having a hard time keeping up with reviewing, so that probably accounts for my deleting it. judi

This is beautiful poem.
It conveys all the feelings and things we go through when we have lost someone. To lose someone is hard, and I pray Yvonne and her family will find healing and turn to God in their time of grief. I cannot imagine what they are going through.
The bible verse you chose to go along with it, is equally fitting.
Beautiful, touching and deep poem you have here.

Stunning news! Just three days ago Yvonne --I hadn't known her by name--acknowledged receipt of my pet's question. Is it possible to send a real card vs a message? Your poem is touching, wonderful chapter book concept you came up with here! Cheers. LIZ

Oh, no! What horrible, terrible news! You say 'sudden' - which is so scary. Oh, my - I will pray for our friend beginning immediately.

Thank you so much for the prayers, Robyn! I hate to share sad news but we have to be there for our friends! You do so much for our community here. Those of us who spend a lot of time on Fanstory, find this a second home. Hugs!

So true. I try to explain to my family sometimes -- I'll be laughing over something someone here said - but it's relative to alllll our conversations, so when I try to explain, my family just stares at me.
There are moments when things happen to one of us - and I am saddened - or rejoicing -- and again, they just look at me. (of course, I suppose they do that anyway, when I think about it. *smile*)
But it makes me understand how folks used to have pen pals and then fall in love through the written word before they ever even met!
Thanks for all you do here, too. You are a wonderful addition to our family. What did we do before you got here??!
BTW, on your poem - there was one reviewer who said she could barely look at your name here without being consumed by jealousy. hahaha And this was said by one of the most amazing writers here! She said that she looks at your ranking ineach category and is pretty astounded -- and green with envy. hahaha
I think it's AWESOME! You'll be the first in FS history to sweep the rankings. Like aTriple-Crown moment or something. Thanks for all you do--

Aww. Thanks for the encouragement, Robyn. I would be so happy and honored if I did get such an award but last year, I got 3 out of the 4 categories and nothing was mentioned. So I don't know that there is anything like that. Anyway, it's the knowing of the beautiful people like YOU that make the hours here such a joy and blessing. 💖🌹💞

This family will be added to my prayer list. The loss of a child is never healed. There is always a hole that cannot be filled. I have been there and it has been over 20 years. A beautiful poem and very well done.
