First I must say I read you biography and a very big CONGRATULATIONS on your five month celebration of being clean and sober - you are on a journey and it is wonderful that you recognize the source of your strength.
And now for this perfectly penned testament to the love for your girlfriend and your recognition of what a gift that love is - this is a SIX STAR winner.
Someone who is practicing the art of gratefulness the way you do is certainly on a path of discovery. So many people are unaware of all that the Lord has bestowed on them, and even fewer say Thank You to Him.

It starts and ends with some good rhymes,
and pivots to free verse in the middle.

The only note I have is that in my opinion, you don't need quite so many commas. Great poem though!
