Delightful, Sandra!
And I have never seen an albino kangaroo!
Your offering is filled with such interesting information! We have no kangaroos here in northern Michigan, so much of the information shared was new to me.
One note - just in passing: In the poem, "and that (when) they swim a treat."
Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much for reading my letter K, Diane, and the lovely review. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I didn't know there were albinos, or tree kangaroos, aren't they lovely? I'll check that line out again, thanks for pointing it out, my friend. Have a lovely day! :)) Sandra xx

I didn't realize there were so many different kinds of kangaroos or that they used to live in trees. The albino is beautiful. Your chapter is very well-written, interesting start to finish. I learned a lot today, like always.

Hi Misty, thank you for reading this one and the lovely review. I didn't know there were so many either, in fact, I was worried I wouldn't find enough to write about when I chose the kangaroo. But, my goodness, there is loads! That albino just had to be added. Thanks, my friend. Have a lovely day! :)) Sandra xx

Always so fascinating!
The poem is spot on -- odnt change a thing!
Couple of suggestions, if I may ...
many have said it is just like watching the best of the Olympic gymnasts. >> ,many have said, is just like watching the best of the Olympic gymnasts.
habitat being destroyed, >> destruction of their habitat
Hey! I think my hubby is actually an antilopin anga! He definitely prefers time by himself these days. lol (Not really -- gotta gig him when I can!)
The mother kangaroo can feed two different babies different types of milk at the same time. >> Human moms do this, too! Not important 9especially at our ages!), but just thought it was interesting. :)
until they big >> they are big enough
And a baby on HOLD?! REALLY?! (Is it too late to put my 27 year old on hold? Hmmm...)
This is so wonderful, Sandra! I always enjoy reading these. :)
I wanna kangaroo! Do you think they'd be okay with Texas? lol.
Gotta run, but be blessed today!

This was amazing. A tree kangaroo? I didn't know about that one. They look like overgrown rats to me. I can't imaging meeting one in person. Well done Sandra.Nancy:)

Yes, a tree kangaroo! I didn't know about them, either, nor did a lot more on here. That was nice to be able to show them something different. I'm hoping it will interest the kiddies too. Thank you so much for the six stars, Nancy, that was lovely of you, and your wonderful review. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Another wonderful chapter and kangaroos are a fantastic animal to learn about. You gave us good information - especially about the different types. I did know about the different types of milk the mama kangaroo can produce.
"six months until they [are] big enough to leave."

Thanks for spotting, and letting me know about that missing word, Helen. I didn't know anything about the Kangaroo, apart from them hopping and carrying their baby in the pouch. They are fascinating animals. I'm glad you enjoyed reading about them. Thank you, my friend. Have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xx

Hello Sandra, another great piece of work. A very good poem with an amazingly informative follow up. The wonders of nature - I was struck by
'The mother kangaroo can feed two different babies different types of milk at the same time. The older baby who has just left the pouch and still needs feeding, and the newborn baby.' They are more advanced than we are in this respect - LOL!! We really get our money's worth Sandra when you post work like this. Well done and love Dorothy xxx

I'm having a problem knowing where to stop, LOL, there is so many fascinating facts on all these animals I'm featuring. But, the Kangaroo is incredible. If you haven't seen a baby Kangaroo crawl from the mother's womb into the pouch when it is still just the size of a jelly bean with hands, you should look on u.tube. It's really worth watching. Thank you so much for the lovely review, my friend. I really appreciate all your support. Have a wonderful day. Lots of love. Sandra xxx

A wonderful poem. As energetic and rompy (if that's not a word it should be!) as a 'roo itself.
Kangaroos are wonderful animals. Though some would say they're a lot of trouble, the most trouble Australia has ever had with animals was actually with rabbits.
A little tidbit for you, while Kangaroos are very fast, the emu is even faster. This is lauded in a song "Interview With An Emu" ("He can't fly but I'm telling you, he can run the pants off a kangroo").

I love that word, I'll use it! Lol. Thank you so very much for the lovely six stars, and this fabulous review.
I never know the Emu could run fast, let alone faster than a Kangaroo! Now that is really interesting! Thank you for that tidbit. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

You should listen to the song. It's a lot of fun. Actually, if you can find the album An Hour of Aussie Comedy by the Wayfarers, that and a few other gems will tickle your funny bone.
-
I'll write that down and see if I can find it. Thanks. Where do you live? Are you Australian? I'll going to look for that album now.

Australian by adoption. My adoptive mum was an Aussie War Bride who married a Yank (my adoptive father).

I love it. You taught me many things about a Kangaroo that I had no idea about. I had never heard of a tree Kangaroo until now. Great job my friend. Have a wonderful Sunday. Shirley
