Bouquets of Hope
In fearful times, even the smallest gestures can bring hope60 total reviews

What a lovely expression of the power of hope, and how much a seemingly small gesture can mean to someone whose hope is at a low ebb. Your depiction of store conditions at the moment is very accurate, and I love that your protagonist chose to "leave enough for all to share" while, also, sharing her flowers with someone who needed her hope restored. This is a lovely and uplifting description of the human spirit and what it can accomplish.

What a delightful poem of hope! Especially in these trying times. Without hope, we are lost to fear soul-eating ways and everyone around us suffers even more!
Thank you for sharing and best of luck! xoxo

I think you wrote a amazing poem. It's very original and creative. I really enjoyed the process of the woman getting her flowers. It really made me think and it was very entertaining. Amazing poem!

I gather that this poem is about hope during the current health crisis we are facing. As such it is a timely entry for the contest. The picture is lovely and in keeping with the sentiment. Good luck!

You express a beautiful sentiment so well in this poem. It is uplifting and inspiring to see that simple gestures can override fear and panic. It is still a beautiful world when we take time to 'smell the tulips' and share the beauty.

Hope and faith. That's what we need. I think it's a great message for these times, a portrait of how to behave. But most people just panic and run over everybody else to take care of themselves. estory

In my opinion, a beautifully rendered poem in smooth and even rhyming rhythm. While hope is certainly an inspired and inspiring emotion, the message here of loving one's neighbor enough to 'pay it forward' eclipses hope by at least a hundred miles. This write is more than relevant, it is exemplary...

A very well-written poem about hope that we can find in many things around us. When things seem to fall apart we can do a good deed for someone else and it makes us feel good and hopeful too.
