Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful piece. As I read it I could feel your emotion and the love that still generates. Your writing I think is superb and rhymes are smooth and even.
Nice Work!

So sad. Death is something we cannot escape. To go on living is hard, but we must. Very good poem that has your heart in it. It almost makes me cry. I know what you are going thru.

It's great meeting you. Quite an impressive review. Thanks for the kind words and taking the time to read my post. Having an awesome writer such as yourself to express admiration for work is indeed an honor. Presently, Cathy Waldron (Tootie) and I, Bill Bishop (Commando) are co-authoring the Novel, "Love Long Distance," on FanStory, under "Featured Stories." We invite you to follow along. As always, best wishes and God Bless.

This poem has made my eyes fill with a few tears. I just read your bio under your name, which was fantastic. First, I want to thank you for your service to our country. Second, I want to share my condolences for your loss. Perhaps, because of reading your bio, your poem really pulled me in. I can truly feel your love and your hurt both while reading. Very well written. This is a poem that I feel many people would love. It really touches the heart. Very, very nice.

This is very romantic and fanciful. It shows how much you love your wife.
I almost seems like a childlike view of love from its beginning through eternity. Sorry for your loss.
Well done
Good luck in the contest, Bill, and keep writing

I can think of no better poem to win a Valentine's Day contest, seriously. It's not candy and flowers and mushy words that show what true love looks like, it is this. A mourning, but a grateful one, that looks forward to the joining the other two in Heaven...God and your wife. A tribute to a beloved journey that has eternity to go. The
desire to sprinkle that love with beautiful butterflies, and hold each other again. This here...is the soul of true love.
Obviously, I loved it. Partly because I have a husband that is a gift from God, but mostly because...well, your letter to you wife is beautiful!

A beautiful tribute to your wife. And sad to know that she has gone before you. Yet, your poem spells out the faith you have of the hereafter - of life in God's kingdom, being with Jesus. Thanks for sharing this and blessings to you.

This is a beautiful poem dedicated to your wife, Bill. Three and a half years is not that long ago, it is still early days where everything is still so fresh in your mind. We muddle along, and time seems to take longer than ever, but it passes, and one day we will all be together. My husband went 34 years ago. A long time, yet I remember everything as if it were yesterday, Big hugs, my friend. Your poem was a delight to read. :)) Sandra xx
